During the Sports Trainer Level 1 course, participants learn to:

Course Information
Important information prior to enrolment

Blended delivery — online learning with a face-to-face assessment (minimum 3 hours contact time) at our Gold Coast training venue.
The format is flexible, efficient, and focused on hands-on practical skills. -
To participate in the Sports Trainer Level 1 course, learners must:
Have the physical capability to complete CPR and other first aid demonstrations (including rescue breathing).
Wear appropriate attire to practise and demonstrate sports taping techniques.

You’ll complete a mix of performance tasks, practical scenarios, and theory assessments, including:
Practical and Performance Activities
Plan and prepare participants for sport competition.
Support and reflect on athlete preparation and competition.
Perform CPR on an adult and infant (using AED and recovery position).
Manage casualties with anaphylaxis, asthma, choking, bleeding, fractures, or shock.
Complete a first aid incident report.
Implement injury prevention and management strategies for various conditions.
Demonstrate sports taping for common injuries.
Theory Assessment
Multiple-choice and short answer questions to confirm your understanding of sports safety and injury management principles.
