Training for Schools & Childcare
First Aid & Child-Safety Training for Schools & Childcare on the Gold Coast
Gold Coast | On-site & Public Courses | Schools · Childcare · Educators
Why this matters
Your team makes your school or childcare centre a safe, trusting place where children thrive. When incidents happen — accidents, medical emergencies, safeguarding risks — the difference between uncertainty and confidence comes down to training. At LA First Aid, we partner with Gold Coast schools and childcare centres to deliver training that’s tailored, practical and community-friendly.
Our training for your school community
We’ve designed a suite of courses for teachers, carers and support staff in QLD’s education sector. These include nationally-recognised units and non-accredited specialist modules that build deeper awareness
Nationally recognised core units
HLTAID012 – Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting
This is the essential first-aid qualification for educators and carers working in schools or early-childhood centres. Learn how to assess and respond to injuries, illnesses, choking, CPR, anaphylaxis and asthma — all in a school-specific environment.CHCPRT025 – Identify Children and Young People at Risk
A vital safeguarding unit that helps staff recognise indicators of risk or harm for children and young people, understand their role in early intervention, and respond appropriately.
Non-accredited specialist modules
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Awareness Course
Provides practical understanding of autism in school & childcare settings, helping staff adapt their practice, support inclusive environments and understand behaviours with empathy.Foundations of Safe Sleep in Early Childhood Course
Focuses on safe-sleep practice, risk reduction and sleeping-child supervision — perfect for early-childhood centres and school programmes that include younger children.Youth Mental Health Awareness Course
A supportive module designed for teachers and carers who work with adolescents. Covers quality early-intervention awareness, how to respond to emerging mental-health concerns, and how to link with specialist support.
